long ranger tanks

G'day, just scored a second hand long ranger for the triton off a mate. I'm looking at fitting it myself and after any hints and tips off anyone who has put one in themselves. Also being second hand should I flush the tank out with anything before I fit it.
cheers

Use a hoist and someone else to help you lift it.

I fitted one to my old triton and didn't have a hoist and it was a PITA to fit using just jack stands.

Ryno,

If your doing a lot of corrugated road and off road travel, you might want to consider having a couple of pacmen welded onto the two far corner edge seams seams. The older LR tanks have a habit of letting go there around the welds.

Cheers. Mick
