Hi all
How times have changed, my dads 1942 Caravan .When I was 6 years old this was our OFF Road caravan .Tar roads where only in towns ,
Sydney to
Brisbane all dirt roads & rough as hell .The old ply & timber van it fell to pieces & all our cloths fell out the back somewhere north of
Brisbane , We travel manly 1000
miles in this old van be for it through in the towel.

I think it was a Terraplane I do not know if the spelling is right or a ford as these where the cars he had then.

I think you are wright as the Terraplane had a very narrow front Grill & I have a Photo of me sitting on the bumper Bar with dad & that is a Ford

I think the Terraplanes of that era were trunkback sedans, not slopers. Plus the bonnet where the grille would be seems too vertical. It looks like it has forward opening doors on the rear, not suicide doors. Not that era ford (or Hudson/Terraplane) if that's the case.

This was the off road van we left
Melbourne with in 1968 to travel around Aus and used it for 2 years on the trip. Photo is South of
Darwin on the
old Stuart Highway.Image Could Not Be Found
