Dual Battery in Perth, any recommendations?

Hi guys, it's my first post so Hello to everyone here!

I am looking for a good place in Perth to fit a dual battery system to my Patrol GQ. All I want to run at this time is a fan, a small laptop and some led lights but I think it might make sense to prepare it for a freezer as well.

The only place I know in Perth is ARB and they want me to wait 2 weeks until they have time to fit it an it's priced 500$+. I don't have that much time and would like to keep it under 500 bucks, is that actually realistic?

Thanks guys!

Go into a Battery World shop. Tell them what you want to do Get him to make the cables to fit, buy a Redarc there or off Derek ABR on here and spend two hours dioing it yourself.
The redarc comes with quite plain instructions on how to fit it

another way to think about it is those who can do it 'now' don't have a lot of work on their books, maybe for a good reason, like lack of quality workmanship and good reputation ?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

Mine cost me under $175 for the wiring and the isolator

Had the battery. Just split the two in the Croozer.

Two hours to do the job bumbling around to make it all neat.

Even with two new hybrid batteries only cost all up $165 x 2 plus above Total $505

What are you fitting it to. Can make a huge difference.

LIke in a PAj where there is no room

Or a Patrol where you have to buy a tray etc.

Ah yeah, going to fit it to a Patrol, need an extra tray. Battery World has it all together for 412$: battery, isolator, tray and cables. I got a friend who fitted his dual system to a Diesel Patrol on his own, so together we might get it done on the weekend... hopefully :/

The price sounds not too bad if the battery is allright. But I read a lot about that in this forum, I gonna find a good one there. Thanks, you guys were a great help!!

I know there's been many changes at ARB in the last couple of years but before that they wired my dual battery system up wrong leading to me having to get a jump start from a tourist at Bell Gorge.
Took it in to them when I got back to Perth and it had been wired wrongly somehow leaving the second battery not getting charged for 18 months.
When they corrected the wiring it promptly collapsed inside and boy did it stink!
To their credit they replaced the battery although the workshop foreman wasn't too happy about it but the then manager made sure I got a new item.
I've just got another vehicle and will do the install myself this time but get the cables made up, might take longer but I'm a lot cheaper.
Good luck.
Alan.
