Anyone got suggestions? We're towing a 22' van and would like to go somewhere were we can fish without a boat. Need ablutions that will accomodate a wheelchair. We're loving this gypsy life! Cheers

Tony & Carmel
Try Big 4 Adventure Caravan Park Cannonvale.
We were there for 5 weeks earlier in the year very good.
Wheel chair friendly.
Regards
Ted

Not sure about the facilities but Etty Bay south of Cairns is a must.

Try one of the Parks around Mission Beach area (approx 1.5 hrs from Cairns) Very pleasant spot, not too crowded.
Great beaches - ferry across to the islands - some great little Cafe's & Restaurants

Good local operator is Fishin Mission - Dennis is the Owner / Skipper - Charters are flexible, full day is $190.00 pp all (inc food & soft drink - fishing gear & bait) and he cleans the Fish...

We were in Mission Beach 2 weekends ago and both caravan parks were very full. Only one or two sites left at each.

Although as said above excellent access to the cafe's and restaurants.

Tony & Carmei,
Tully Heads has a nice van park, you can fish the beach at Tully Head's or the river just down the road at Hull Head's, top spot's.

Mackay city council has erected a platform at the pioneer river to cater for disabled fisherfolk, it's on the southern side of the river east of the sydney st bridge.
From there it's not far to the andergrove van park or the one on malcomson st, howeve I couldn't tell you how good the access is in the amenities

Thanks again. We're leaving Sarina on Monday at whatever time we're organised to leave! Will see how far we get. We've done day trips up as far as Bowen so we're looking forward to seeing the country north of there.
You are a very helpful mob. Cheers, Carmel
