G'day All
Has anyone seen the new Gall Boys Kedron caravans Far N.Q,Adventure??...I just finished watching it, and was actually quite surprised that in this movie Dave Gall kept mentioning that what they do in the movie should never be attempted by the average person, he said that what they do is way over the top and that they only do it as a test for themselves and the equipment they use, I thought that was quite good considering in their other movies they didn't mention any of that , and then of course the average person would probably assume that if the Gall boys can do it , they probably could also....Another thing i took notice of was the new 78 series L.C V8 they were using...What an awesome piece of machinery!! , I was so impressed with it i would definitely put it high up in my list if i was looking for that type of vehicle..of course theirs was kitted out with the best of everything i suppose , but the bleep they put that thing thru and it just kept wanting more!! I think i could possibly change stables after seeing what that thing did...Towing a frigging 18 - 19ft van through the
CREB track is awesome on its own....Watch all the crap i cop from my sons now, and the rest of the Nissan faithful...lol....
Cheers......Borgy

Borgy. So how much damage did they do to the tracks, doing what no one else should do. I will not watch the video so I will leave it up to who has to comment. If no damgae its all good fun but if damage occured then this unwarrented action has been posted with interesting comments on previous occasions. Cheers Tony

Gidday Borgy,
I totally agree with your analysis and comments regards the Gall brothers DVD.
I think they probably tend to reinforce their comments re testing themselves and the machinery to er on the side of safety and explain the pitfalls of trying to emulate their trip without being suitably prepared.
I really enjoyed the DVD personally and a few of my mates have as
well. If only the Toyota was a bit cheaper and didn't quite remind me of my FJ70 I got new in 1985 so much.
Come to think of it maybe thats not such a bad thing.
If only Nissan realized the 3.0 ltr is a bit small, a V8 TD NIssan would be the best of both worlds.
I do own a 3.0 ltr Patrol now which I find a bit underpowered, but livable with due to reasonable fuel economy.
Regards Alan.

G'day Allen
Like you mate i really enjoyed the DVD i have all their others as
well and likewise enjoyed them also....I have the 4.2td in my Patrol and absolutely love it, although im not to sure how it would handle doing some of the things they did with the V8 cruiser, that motor in a Patrol would make for one awesome vehicle i would think.....Did you think that the Gall boys did that much damage to the tracks?? Personally i didnt think so , not that much that wouldn't be sorted out in the next wet anyway...
Cheers.....Borgy

LOL....I have the complete set of DVD's too and I think they do more damage to their vans than they do to the tracks.
I have spoken to the Gall boys, mainly David, at the last 2
Sydney Shows... nice folks in real life. Just one of those lucky families that enjoy each other as mates as
well...

Gidday Borgy,
I doubt that they did any damage to the tracks that would have been noticable a week later after their passing.
Ive read one comment here regarding track damage and wonder at the point of making a comment if he wasnt going to view the dvd and had nothing to add anyway.
Must just be my distorted thought pattern.
Regards Alan.
