Walkers Crossing Feedback

Evening All,
we are planning a second trip using walkers crossing but had planned to camp near the crossing for a night, but I then read 'Camping is available in Innamincka Regional Reserve, or along Christmas Creek. Do not camp in other sections of this track - this is part of the agreement of the PAR.' My question is where is Christmas Creek as we could not find it on EO's maps or Hema's in the general area (I may be blind).
Thanks
Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Christmas Creek has been added to the Places system: Christmas Creek

Our Walkers Crossing trek note also shows Christmas Creek in the Interactive Route Map.

Cheers

I think the main reason they say you cannot camp other sections is because of the gas and oil fields before Christmas Creek. The area around Christmas Creek would be the best place to camp also as not much further on is Stony desert which does not look a very inviting place to camp.
This is in the area of Christmas Creek

Or you could camp here; Sturt Stony Desert
