For a lot less typing ... only eight letters ... in either the google OR the exploreoz search bars ... you would have all the info you need ... including repair info.

Try Lawrence and Hanson according to one search result.

Does it have to be Versalite ? Super Cheap auto has a good range of 12V lamps when I stumbled into their Midland store on holiday recently in WA - our Piranha 12V fluro had fritzed after about 20 years (same specs as Versalite) - ended up with an all LED lamp for about $50 .... much lower power consumption - the fluoros do have a better light spread though - even they were around $50 I think. Whatever..........

I've got a range of the common multi-loop 12v CFLs in my camping box, plus a Versalite, and the Versalite wins hands-down for light output.
As a tech-head, I like the idea of the LED lamps for efficiency, but they still don't cut the mustard.
The LEDs are good for lack of RF interference, tho, whereas the CFLs aren't, tho again, the Versalite I find is the best for low RFI.
cheers, Gerry

Got o Aussie Disposals & buy the Primus version, virtually identical, & comes with a bag, usually around $89.00, so also a lot cheaper.

If you can wait a week or so, and are happy to purchase online, I will have Adele add the VersaLite product range to the ExplorOz Online Shop. We will be offering 12v versalites, 12/240v versalites, bags, yellow insect filters as well as clamps for attaching them to tent poles, bull bars etc.

Hi Kev,

12v VersaLites will retail for $104.95. We are still in the preliminary stages at the moment, but there may be also be bundles. ie. Light, Bag and Yellow filter.

Keep an eye on the Newsletter, as once they are live on the shop they will get a mention in there.

This is the best price I have found:-

VersaLite

The Piranha version (same product) sells in TJM for $130, plus $8.50 for the yellow filter which is included in 4x4equip's ad.

And they all use the same globe. When pulled apart there is not much inside. Lawrence and Hansen used to sell them for $38.00 but not any more. ARB also have them but if stood next to the Primus light heyare indentiocal apart from the colour. I've carry 2 Versa Lights and have not had a drama as yet after 11 years.

Arb in Bunbury sell the same light with their brand on it in a handy carry bag with another lead with clamps for use with a transportable battery for $89.My two 15 year old ones had packed it in in the same week {the starter not the tube} and they sold me two for $160.

Should have said that ive also got the Ironman led light which was dearer but is not as good as the versa and only lasts for 4 hours max regardless of the 10 hours their add says.Has its uses though as you only have to press the button and you can carry it anywhere.
