I've got my name next to Peter Brock on the wall at the TILPA pub & was photographed next to the great Dick J at a Carlton United function some years back, does that cut any ice, maybe not.
Go Craig.
Cheers Colin.

Took the skills of an ex HOLDEN driver to win it though... Not to mention he was taught everything by the greatest driver the V8's ever had. LOL

Seriously, good on them, they drove well all day...

Cheers, Brad

Is that a round about way of saying well done FORD???

I remember an interview Lowndes did when he went to ford.

One line from him was 'I have always been a ford man' as he opened a garage door to show an immaculate GT Cortina.

Go FORD!!! :):)

The last Ford I owned was in 1976. But yes I have driven several. I almost couldn't tell the difference between that and a Holden LOL

Well done to Lowndes, if any Ford driver was to win it, let alone 3 in a row, it would have to be Lowndes IMO. Yes I am a Brocky fan and was getting all tingly every time he was mentioned today.

As I always say, (and Tander said when he got it) Pole position means f#ck all after the first few laps at Bathurst. It depends how the race pans out, pace cars, how well the cars behave throughout the race (some get better as the day goes on) and worst of all in the wrong place at the wrong time :(

Today those tyres were a bit of a worry, some were blaming Dunlop and Dunlop were blaming the drivers (kerb hopping), the faster pace year to year was even mentioned. Who knows ATM lets just hope they are sorted out next year!!!

It couldn't have been any worse for Skaife and Tander, having a bleep start then under pressure all day to come back from the back of the pack in a very quick race. Spewin, next year hey. In the end I was hoping Murphy would catch Lowndes but I new that wouldn't have happened, maybe if he blew a tyre lol

GO HOLDEN

Cheers Luke

Good on Lowndesy & Whincup for winning, but I think he would have been pushed by Courtney & Besnard if it wasn't for the tyre debacle.

Of course Ford had to win ... they havent had any competition .. apart from some remodelled Opels ... since the late '70s

I am just rapt that they have won three now, but the best part is that Whincup is now on the top of the ladder, especially after not running in NZ. When he was shunted off the track by Todd Kelly and righting off his car.
