We have a Benelec mount that does just that. Mounts on the side of the roof rack and folds down backwards when not needed.

Just fitted an OPEK AM-503 gutter mount swing-away bracket for my NextG broomstick antenna.
Image Could Not Be Found
Got it from Contact Communications at
Gawler SA.

I don't see a lot of practicality in these "swing away" brackets.
Surely you want to be able to use the antenna for whatever it is there for at all times???
I just swap the 800mm UHF antenna (mounted on the roof rail) for a 150mm rubber ducky when around town, then screw the longer antenna back on for better reception in the country.
I do the same for the NextG mobile antenna.
Bill.

Maybe not for you....but for others they work
well.
I only have 10mm clearance getting into my carport, so I can't have anything protruding above the roofline.
Around town no NextG antenna needed....phone works fine on it's own.
And UHF....I NEVER use it around town....too many wankers on the airwaves:-(
Cheers
Glenn
