Carlton Canvas Kogarah where have they gone??, Drove past yesterday and they’re gone. Looking to get the third room made for an old Trak Shak camper trailer. Can anyone suggest someone in
Sydney for some Canvas work. South side preferable but on recommendation will travel.
I have rung Ace Canvas Taren Point and they are a bit busy at the moment and to try again late Nov after a big job is completed, which may be a bit late to organize so close to the Xmas.
Thanks in advance Michael

I had some work done in a place over at Lidcombe just opposite McDonalds its called Nans Tarps.
Mine was only a small job, fixing the toneau cover on a ute. Worth a call, web www.nanstarps.com.au

Michael,
I have had work done by Nan's Tarps at Lidcombe and was happy with what they did. Bit of a funny lot but aren't we all?
Another place which is good is All Terrain Cammper Trailers at Seven Hills - 9838-9965. They are quite prepared to do one off specials and I have found their work excellent.
cheers

I would gladly second All Terrain, top bloke Glenn.
A bit of a drive from the st george/shire though. Ace was my first thought in the area.

Hi Kiwi,
When I first did a search on exploroz for a
well known canvas maker in my area (Carlton canvas) not much came up so why don't you give us a number of your bloke if you can recommend him for anyone else down your way who may need any canvas work done.
If He/They deserve it Give them a plug.
Was down your way at Danjera Dam last year looks like a beautiful spot for
camping, Mate and I tried out our canoes with leccy motors and did some flicking lures at bass for a few hours definitely go back with the family.
Cheers Michael

Good thought.
For those interested his buiness name is Masons trim and fit from memory.....the number not sure but can give it to anyone who wants it.....just gotta go look for it.....Iknow how to get to his little factory though!!
Danjerra dam is a great place for
camping. I use to live at Burrier (on the way to Coolendel) so we were always heading out that way. It would have to be the nicest place out there to stay....Ettrima Gorge is great too but off limits now thanks to the buy out....! ah
well....
Good luck with the canvas!

I've also had some canvas work done at Nans Tarps.
Mine was just adding eyelets and attaching YKK zips to attach to a touring tent.

All-
camping supplies at Thornleigh. I can't think of the guy's name, but he made an excellent canvas rooftop bag for me one time.
You could give them a call to see if he does that type of work you are looking at.
Cheers

A bit of a distance to travel for you, but have a look at "Shade & Shelter Canvas" at Blacktown. The are on the corner of Bessemer Rd. Which in turn runs of Sunnyholt Road.
Have done a number of jobs for Number 2 Son and done them
well.
These cars do a lot of work replacing canvas and vynel in those windup hybrids that are halfway between a caravan and a tent together with tent repairs and alterations.

Thanks to all that replied, I now have quite a few
places to ring tomorrow. I’ll try Lidcome and Silverwater first as they are the closest to Loftus(near Sutherland) where I live but I won’t rule out the others, Nowra is only 90min away from here and on a bad day and bad timing Blacktown/Richmond/Thornleigh would take just as long.
Cheers Michael

Hi Michael,
What model TrakShak do you have?
I have a 96 model Midway, if you get stuck I could lend you the third room, we call it the cubby. It may even be helpful to whoever you get to make the room.
If you need it mm me and we can work something out. I am at Lugarno.

Hi Duncs,
Its a 94 model Deluxe, It has two queen size beds.
Your offer of a loan of the cubby would be appreciated.
Before I get one made would you make any changes to the cubby like possibly access windows to get at jerry cans or extra vents/windows or clears? and where it joins the main tent is it bug/mozzie proof?
Thanks Michael

We head down to Currarong a fair bit and will probably head down once more before Xmas if I can't get the job done in
Sydney I'll look them up.
