Don't know about Pt Douglas BUT I imagine you are considering going out fishing with one and not buying one so on that basis you might want to ask their 'policy' on sharing of any catch before booking. I went out on a morning charter at Karumba last year and some people caught (and took home) 4 fish and others (like me) didn't catch one and took home nothing!

Considering we had all paid the same and we put in the same effort you'd have thought me and the other 2 guys that lucked out would have been given one for a feed-but we left empty handed.

Just for what it's worth.

Happy days

George

Geez Evan, surprised you would be thinking about going fishing on your honeymoon, especially with little Lee at home giving you extra privacy!
Hope yours and Rens plans all work well and you have a special time away.
Cheers and best wishes, Craig and Dale

Dont forget there is 3 closed seasons on the reef. One now in October and 1 in November and 1 in December. No take of reef species 9 days each I think. As you have not mentioned when you wanted to go fishing. Cheers Tony

Evan,

Take your pick from just about any of the fishing charter operators at the Marina, They are all good. They have to be to remain competitive.

Just bear in mind, most cater for around 12 fisherperson's at a time and the normal method is hand lines only. Anything different than this and you would pay extra for the "exclusivity".
