External Aerial for my Icom 41s Handheld's

Hiya Guys

Wanting to put external aerial on my new Bullbar...Was looking at the RFI CD900 6.6db Here[/url]
http://www.prestigecom.net.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36&products_id=635

When looking at the site i noticed the RFI Explorist Here 3 & 6.5 db...Would this be a better option...

Cheers

What sort of range are you thinking of getting out of this antenna? A 6db antenna will go a long way but will be very directional.

So I reckon the 3 and 6 db package would be a great option, (he says after just clicking your link)

Warfer if I can find the flamin page now that GME have made their website "better" I will link you to it, to show you a bit about how they work.

Picture this: You know how you have that adjustable thing with your hose, from a fine wide mist to a long strong stream? Well they are both pushing the same volume or water.

The water volume is like the power of your UHF set, say 5 watts. If you have the hose on the fog setting everything close gets soaked it goes high and wide but only an average distance, thats like a 1 to 3db antenna. If you turn the hose adjustment you will get a stream that goes a long way, in a straight line, but if you are close and underneath it you wont get wet..... Thats like a 6 to 9 db antenna.

so the combined 3 and 6 db setup is great. 3 db for close and mountains talking and 6db for the roads where u may want to go a bit further but its flat...
Am I confused you? Cause its almost 1 am here .......
