Good morning fellow EO members and visitors,
It's yet another great day to be alive here in the country music capitol of OZ (
Tamworth NSW). Unfortunately I have to continue to go to work to put more $$ away to pay for the next trip.
Speaking of trips - I'm putting some very tentative ideas together for next years National gathering trip in Sept - Oct 2009.
Thinking of leaving about a month before the gathering and going out to
Birdsville again but this time leaving the camper in
Birdsville and then doing a double crossing of the Simpson and then making my way to
St George from
Birdsville in plenty of time to collect lots of $$ for RFDS from the Horse Shoe tossing fans at the gathering.
That said; is anyone else thinking along the same lines - I'd like to have at least a couple more vehicles to do the crossings with (just in case I get lost hehehe).
Cheers

LOL know what you mean. We'll probably do a trip out to Camerons Corner and make our way across to EO 2009 from there.

Lets know what you plan Gramps, we might just slip up the road and meet you at Tib and go from there if you like.

Is there a prize at the gathering for the longest way there?
It's Ok, just jealous. Working to to pay for the next trip too.
Actually had 5 weeks on the road this year, best for a while.
Don't see us getting a trip next year, and if business goes dry, might not be able to afford to hit the road.

I might be in on the two way Simpson crossing.
I cracked it this morning and rang head office to let them know I had had enough. The National GM will be here on Monday, so it looks like I will have some time to myself next year apart from building the new House in
URALLA ( just up the road John). and being busy doing just what I want when I want.
