I have just ordered a set of duel draws from black widow and was wondering if anyone has installed them themselves, if so was it hard to do? Any tips to make the job easier would be great.

I have installed them in my old dual cab Navara and into my new GU Patrol.
Found them easy to install and they fit great.
One word of advice, take your time...

Michael,
When I ordered my set of drawers at a 4WD show in
Adelaide, the cost included fitting by the SA dealer for the Black Widow product. The cost saving just wasn't worth it to do it myself.
I removed the drawers completely on one occasion and reinstalled them a couple of weeks later without drama. The mounting points utilise the origional tie-down points and no extra holes need to be drilled.
I don't think you will have any problem in installing them yourself, providing you take your time.

Hi Michael
Firstly I would like to congratulate on ordering the best accessory that you can fit to your vehicle. You will get many years of trouble free use of them, my only regret is that I did not have a set years ago.
As to fitting them, I have put them in my last 2 vehicles and they do take some time, but it is not a hard job. The most important thing is to follow the installation instructions and you will have no problems. The most important thing is to make sure is to make sure that they are square in the back of the vehicle before you tighten all the mounting points.
My vehicle is a great advertisement for Black Widow (NO I AM NOT AN EMPLOYEE) with their half rated cargo barrier, draw set with fridge slide, outside awning and forward twin floor.
All the best and you will be very happy with your purchase.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Cheers for the reply to my question, I have just become a member and the fast replies are great, yeah they are a great accessory and i cant wait to get them, i also went the half barrier and fridge slide, adds a bit to the price of the draws but i think its worth the extra $$$$$, as i am in
Kununurra in WA the freight is the killer, but thats the nature of the beast up here, anyway thanks again,
Regards Mick

As all the others have said ............ take your time and follow the directions and you'll have no trouble at all.
Fantastic product and just as good "after sales service".

I have a set also and love them.
Mine have not been without issues though, with a couple of broken bearings and very poor installation by one of the bigger dealers. Check this out:

To the credit of BW, they replaced the bearings no problem and reinstalled the drawers to my satisfaction, but I still have unnecessary holes that were drilled in the rear floor of my cruiser! They have since been sealed up with silicone. Surely any idiot would think to use the existing captive nuts, rather than drilling through them........ this dealer will get no more if my hard earned $$..!
If given the opportunity, I would install them myself - you then KNOW it's done properly without damaging your car.
Cheers,
Mark
