Great GME UHF Deals

G'Day All,

Just been reading thru a copy of the free "Big Rigs" paper and on the back page they have an ad from Brown & Hurley (Truck part supplier for those that haven't heard of them) for UHF's.

You can get a GME TX3220 with a bonus TX670 handheld for $263.10 inc GST

Also have TX4400 + TX670 for $315.94

I have no aviliation with this mob but I know when I bought my older model TX3200 about 5 years ago I paid $295 and that was the best deal I could find....and didn't include a handheld.

They have branches all over the east coast but I'm sure they would deliver too for a small fee.

The other thing that raised an issue is the prices of things at 4x4 shops. In another ad in the paper they have genuine Hino polished alloy bullbars for TRUCKS from $1700. Now there would have to be atleast twice the metal in one of these to a typicall 4x4 bullbar yet the prices would only be about 1/3 dearer. 400L aluminium fuel tanks for $750.....the list goes on. Why do (most) 4x4 shops have to have such inflated prices??? I'm sure their turnover would be higher than a truck shop when it comes to bullbars etc??

Anyway hope some people get a bargain.

But if i were you i'd get the latest Icom with speaker phone in the mike just quietly !

Looking at the Ad they have 10 outlets and all are in Qld or NSW.

The closest to you is probably Kyogle (02 6632 0333) or Tamworth (02 6762 2922).

I'm sure they will post for you. I live in far western NSW and nearly everything I buy I get posted - never been an issue.
