If you are refering to the thread about the supposed murder at Abminga I think what happened at Edwards
Creek is a different incident
I also worked in the area during the 70's. At that time Edwards
Creek Siding was divided into two parts one for the single men and one for the married men . Story has it that one / some of the single men were visiting the wives when there husbands were away from the siding working. As a result of these indiscretions a feud broke out between the groups and became so bad that the married men would not go to work in case the single men visited the wives . After a while a fight broke out and ended up with a shoot out between the two groups hence the name Dodge City

It really does sound like the wild west at Edwards
Creek. All that rootin, tootin & shootin....actually it sounds like a Sarah Palin campaign speech!
Having a good laugh here. Mick.

My mate who works in the Cooper Basin region told me a story about an old
homestead just out of
Lyndhurst, on the Strez, where apparently someone died years ago. It seems that the
homestead has been abandoned for yonks but guys travelling to & from the Cooper Basin swear they see lights on in there at times.
Any ideas anyone?
Louie
