I did look there Mark and that is how I knew about the others but there does not seem to be any weekenders which is why I asked the question.
I personally am not in the position at this point to organise a weekender but could quite possibly attend one if it were near enough.

Not yet but I was going to try to organise one in the new year for somewhere around Turkey Beach to Rules Beach possibly in Eurimbula NP at Middle Ck or Bustard Beach campground.
Any suggestions anyone?
I have to do a transfer case rebuild first.
Cheers
Dave

That would be a bit far for me but it looks like it could be great for anyone who lives up that way.
I personally would be looking at the SE corner and as I still work I only have weekends available to me.

Well hurry up and get it done. I will be attending that trip for sure if the dates are right ;)
GypsyOne,
The drive up to here from
Brisbane is only about 5 hours max. So there is plenty of time to get up here for a weekend trip IMHO. Just need to be packed and ready to go after work on Friday
Cheers Kev

As much as I would like it, 5 hours drive is way too much for me for a weekend....sorry.

Kev,
I need to rebuild my transfer case first which will be sometime in Jan as the bloke just shut his
shop down for good and will do it from home when he
tools up. So I need to know when it can be done before I try to organise dates. ATM the old girl is a rear wheel drive only that's if it gets to
Sydney and back next week without destroying itself.
Not having been to either campsites that i mentioned earlier does anyone know if they are suitable. I know the fishing is supposed to be good there especially at
Middle Creek.
Dave

Definately not retired (although I wish I was LOL)
Just took a few months of planning to pull it off.
Cheers Kev

G'day all, I did a one day get together trip with another 4wd club not long ago, they were mostly Brissy area, met up at the big BP's at Caboolture, drove in convoy uhfing to
Tewantin, across the ferry to Teewah Beach. This was a 1 day trip, a Saturday, some camped the night before - more camped that night after meeting more people & went home the next day, other people came from other areas, a great time. Would have to maybe wait 'til after the holidays? maybe during the holidays so all the kids can catch up as
well! A bit of beach cricket is good for everybody! I wouldn't mind organising or help to organise same. regards,
dingo

I really just want to go and
camp, sit around and chat, eat, drink and be merry as such.
Don't mind driving a bit further for a long weekend, like
Easter but that is it.

Well it looks like this may have died a natural death.
Will keep my eye open for any future local gatherings as I doubt I will be able to get to
St George later in the year.

The one Dave is organising is too far away for me to attend. I was thinking more like the SEQ corner.
