More Detail!!!!

80, 100, 200 series ???????

Is aerial on the roof or gutter mounted?

Are you talking about through door opening or hole in roof and where to ? dash, roof console??

Do you have a snorkel??

2000 Year 100 series, I plan to bolt the arial to the roof rack I currently do not have a snorkel but will look at one in the future. If I drill through the roof how is the best way to seal it as I will in future add lights to the roof rack too. The roof rack is a full ARB model.

Matt,

I have a 2001 / 100 Series . I had an external GPS aerial on the front of the roof rack.

I ran the aerial cable down the leg of the roof rack, along the roof rack channel to the top of the window. Here the channel stops, but the molding continues all the way down the side of the windscreen to the bonnet. The molding has a gap under it and you can push a cable under this, all the way down the side of the winscreen and then in under the bonnet. It is a very neat way of doing it.

Cheers,

Willie.

Agreed - did mine that way too - UHF comes down the pillar and into the engine bay via a panel join - the GPS cable ducks back through the door gap (wasn't long enough to go via the engine bay), and being skinny it doesn't suffer as the door rubbers close.
Drilling a hole in the roof seems a barbaric proposition :-o) !
