Can anyone provide information on recent rainfall s in the Winton - Boulia - Longreach area of Qld. I have the TV/Radio reports on Mt Isa and Cloncurry but nothing for the aforementioned.

Not worried about road conditions.

Kevin,

Rainfall in Winton to date is over 200 mm, since 1/1/09.

Think Boulia has only had around 50mm, and the rain hasn't gone too far to the south of town.Longreach has faired a little btter, about 100mm (??), but well behind Winton.

We went into Winton New Year's day and came home on the friday. While rain was good in town, it appeared to be much lighter away from town. We are 230km south of Winton, & have only had 51mm, since New Year.

Regards,
Bob.

Gave you a bum steer about Longreach's rain.

They've only had around 70mm lately.

Kevin

This was posted in the Townsville Bulletin ....

More than 400mm has fallen in parts of the north-west during the past week causing road closures, evacuations and lengthy delays in all directions.
