Insufficient Funds
I was just curious if anyone has been along this route since the flooding started... Is the road passable or is it still underwater in some
places.
Cheers J

j,
Forget about it for the next 4 weeks at least.
Diamantina is over at Monkira, King Creek is in flood @ Cluny, and the Georgina has just surrounded
Bedourie.

J,
If you were going to travel that far, why not come to
Winton. Maybe you could go to
Windorah, then come up to
Winton.
It has rained in
Winton almost everyday since New Year, so should look a picture by then. Plenty to do in
Winton.

Hi Bob,
Winton is definately on the TO DO list hopefully in the next few months. The reason i am looking at the area in around
Windorah and out to Bedourie/
Birdsville is to try and located the Inland Taipan to photograph...
The last few trips out that we we havent been lucky enough, so i was just hoping that with all the rain there would be less ground available to locate 1....
Cheers

J,
Have seen a big specimen @
Diamantina Lakes N/P some years ago. He was on the road, I pulled off to the side. He looked at me, I looked back at him......I didn't get out of the toyota, & he didn't get in!
He didn't burr up, or live up to his name as a "Fierce Snake". When you have their capabilities, who needs attitude???
And of course, I didn't have a camera. Think it was a bit before the digital camera craze.
Bob.
