You've got one week

Further to Diamond's post investigating people's occupations, I have a question.

Assuming you have one weeks holiday anywhere in Australia, where would you spend it, how would you spend it, and what time of year would you go? For the sake of the exercise you would be magically transported to your chosen destination so therefore travel time to and from is not a factor.

It would be interesting to hear everyone's ultimate week."Live today as if there may be no tomorrow"

You have to name the river and which part of it and what you'd do for a week!"Live today as if there may be no tomorrow"

Wow, this is great. I go to Smoky Bay after the whiting - but I'd go to Antartica too - that would be sooo fantasmagorical. (Yeah, I'm old).

"only a week" your a hard taskmaster Wombat Cape Leveque saddly its too far to drive for the week so I guess I'll have to fly but with an airstrip at the edge of the camp ground I guess that's not too bad. I'd camp in one of the beach bungalows and go mudcrabbn, fishn, beach bummn. I'd take Mrs Al cos I recon she'd be good company and Big Al too if I had to.(But he'd have to bring his own grog)Alpaca

Mrs Al, You gotta plane? Do u fly? I got the sweet chilli sauce & the bait
Leave next week OK
In answer to your other questions yes and yes (true) and a hairy ass, I don't spit but I have been known to dribble
Its a sad day when you spend Sat. night on the puter trying to type with one finger, its freezing cold here -2 last night, 0 tonight, Cook put the leccy blanket on and has gone to bed watching the idiot box, didn't win the lottery, your magpie lot flogged the crows last night. Jeez I gotta get a life (somewhere where it's warmer like Cape Leveque)
PS the oysters are like dinner plates there, didn't need many and one was a double banger.
When your on the river at Corryong, jump on your Lilo, paddle downstream a bit just past Mildura, over the border and our place is about 40k's downstream on the right. I'll keep an eye out for you if youv'e got a lazy Sunday afternoon.Alpaca

Sweet Chilli Sauce...Alpaca you're the man for me!

Reckon I could find a plane, and someone to fly it...Next week's fine by me....

Big brown eyes and long eyelashes...you're sounding better by the minute...

It was sooooooo cold here this morning that my hot water pipes froze and I couldn't get into the shower until 9am....minus something for sure...last night I went to bed with a glass of Glayva....[if you don't know what that is, I'll bring it along to Cape Leveque..and we can indulge....!!! not that we'll need warming up]

The oysters sound dangerous to me Alpaca....and I don't want to hear any stories about " I had a dozen last time and only 11 worked!!"

I'll be in Mildura sometime [was there in April] acutally I love all the Murray, you're on...I've got friends in Mildura, and when our rig's up and running shall no doubt head up there again...so....shall definitely come over and see you....and...if ever you're down Romsey way....let me know........

it you want to get me 'off line' you can at grierson@hotkey.net.au....

Lyn

Ps...I don't mind a bit of dribbling, not sure about a hairy ass though....Laugh alot..life's too short not to....

PS...we're going to eat mud crabs with sweet chilli sauce...and I'm steering clear of the oysters!Laugh alot..life's too short not to....

How about the Coburg Peninsula - fishing. Or the Murray on the houseboat - not fishing. Simpson Desert - enjoying. Tassie - fly fishing (haven't tried that but I just know I'm gonna like it). Anywhere but here.
