Best Off Road
Friends, Forumites and Country Folk,
I have to go to
Sydney next week and cannot leave until early afternoon so I'm going to stop about half way rather than getting in at Midnight.
I'll be taking a small camper and would like some suggestion around towns about half way and a suitable Caravan Park. I'm after something that has an eatery nearby (walking distance). Eatery can be anything from a Pub to a decent Take Away joint.
Cheers,
Jim.

Another vote for
Holbrook.
They have a pool if the weather's hot.
And a submarine in the main street....

Roadside stop about a K south of Tarcutta. Is off to the side of the road a bit so not too bad with noise, I have never had trouble there and showers (M + L) in the Mobil Tarcutta with Pub right next to Mobil, both serve meals. Truck drivers memorial in town and it is as close to halfway as you can get.
Cheers, Trevor.

Jim,
We always stop at either
Holbrook or
Gundagai, depends on what time we leave, both a fantastic, but since your leaving late, Albury would be my destination.
cheers,
Lance

Jim,
Yackandandah, you just cannot go past it. Then you will have a 6hr drive on to Sin City the next day.
Its obvious you are not coming to the Mardi Gras Jim, if so you missed it. LOL
Cheers Colin

Jim ROTFLMAO
Please Please Please, post
pic of you in the Tutu. LOL
Colin.
PS: Funny we are on this subject, as Yackandandah is where they filmed "Strange Bedfellows" with Paul Hogan & Michael Caton posing as a gay couple, to avoid paying single person tax.
