Yes Port Gibbon about 20Klms south of Cowell is donation camping with town water, clean composting toilets, no power, ok for vans tents motorhomes and with reasonable boat or beach fishing. If you want crabs from Franklin Harbour you can trailler the boat into Cowell on the odd day when there is no gusting winds

Stayed at the one in town (Foreshore CP) 2 weeks ago - a little busy at this time of year - very dusty and windy - clean amenities - not overly friendly though. New management (developer) does not seem interested. Would not stay there again. Harbour View CP about 3klms out of town seems better - has pool and boat ramp and is cheaper

Our son got married in Cowell and sometimes it's just as a break from work. Park used to be great but gone backwards since I had stayed there. Wanted to book out late and pay a bit extra on the sunday, park was empty and had to pay full day to leave van in park for extra 3 to 4 hours while had lunch out at Lucky Bay, paid full day but WONT stay there again. No lawn just a dust bowl now.

Stayed at Arno Bay later in month for week on lawned site with grandson he had a wow of a time there.
Cheers
