Hey all
Myself and a mate are doing a quick dash from
Sydney up to Byron for the Bluesfest at
Easter.. As the budget for this trip is next to nothing, I am hoping to find a spot of ground to throw a swag or a tent down for a couple of nights, perhaps 5-10kms out of town (we will be taking mountain bikes to ride in/out)..
Does anyone know of any such space? We can do without showers
toilets etc (solar shower/trees/shovels will suffice for this trip!) so not looking for an established
campground (they seem to be booked out already anyway). Of course, we want to be as inconspicuous as possible to avoid any yahoo element, so not real keen to just sleep beside the highway (seems that the local constabulary will be getting everyone off the streets anyway)
If you have a place in mind, let me know if it is 4wd or 2wd access - we may be taking a 2wd ute rather than the 4by..
Cheers and beers
Rich
PS - Anyone else going? Should be an amazing show!

I don't know what it is like now but 20 yrs ago we used to just park in the car park, walk down to
the beach and nod off until the sun come up. Never got hassled or moved on, seemed plenty did it this way without issue but I suppose all that has changed now???
Have fun and don't forget the gas mask or you may be breathing in more than "fresh air" LOL!!!
Trevor.

Apparently for Bluesfest they move you along if you are just sleeping in the built up area in your car...I don't want any trouble officer....
