know it's been done...but awhile ago.

Just your thoughts on where to get Solar installed...I am no mechanic :-)

I am in Sydney, but will be traveling North so anywhere from Sydney up would be OK

There is a good solar and 12 volt place in Caboolture. North of Brisbane. Solar express in Learjet drive next to TJM

Nimbin is more famous for alternative lifestyle than anything else.

I can advise you how to souce your quality solar panels in the Hunter Valley at a reasonable price then travel to the beautiful Myall Lakes for some magnificent photos then have the panels fitted at Tuncurry by a qualified technician and get the benefit of all this long before you get anywhere near Queensland.
