Ningaloo Station camping

Hello

Going to Ningalloo camping in April, most things pretty much ready to go - can't wait! Can we book a camp spot at Ningaloo Station in advance or is it just a case of first come first served? Also, as this is our first time we were hoping to hire a chem. loo rather than buy - can we reserve these and does anyone have any relevant phone numbers.

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Charlie

Its first come first serve....but plenty of room.

Got to the Homestead...its signed.

Then head North through a couple of gates.

Some real nice spots, and a few tracks up the hill for the 4by with plenty of fantastic views.

Interesting track bewteen coral bay and ningaloo station too...better than the main road.

Not sure about the potty....dont know if I would hire my potty out.

Have fun.

is this "interesting track between Coral Bay and Ningaloo station... better than the main road" only suitable for a 4wd vehicle ??

Hi Mainey,

4WD only. Better...I should have said more interesting. Easy enough though with a Camper Trailer. Anything much wider will be a little tight. Its a straight run down to Coral Bay going past a Dugong Sanctuary. At the end turn right into Coral Bay.

I dont like the bitumen.

Would I get through in a Hyundai Tucson City (not 4wd but high clearance)?

Hi Intrigued,

When I went through it was an easy run with the CT on the back.
Tow of us had CT's and I think you would make it easily.

Best just to check with the Homestead first, but it was just a good sand track, and cant recall anything that required low range.

Thanks so much Brett. I'm going in two weeks time (end April, beginning of May). I will check with the homestead before I go just to make sure. Anyone know what the wind is like that time of year? I'm hoping for calm.

Hi Charlie,You can hire porta loos from the homestead, phone no 08 99425936 .
You can camp either north of homestead or south. No boat fishing south but good beach fishing. Also can be a lot quieter over school holidays.
You will love it we will be up there in July.

Glyn
