Anne Beadell Highway Feedback

Hi Everybody

We would like to start with the Anne Beadell Highway on the WA side in 2 or 3 days. As we are riding motorbikes, we got kind of a logistic problem. We have autonomiy of about 700km on a track of this kind (about 900km on blacktop), but as we want to be on the safe side, we do not calculate more than 500km. This means, we would need a fuel dump with about 80 liters of petrol (unleaded, leaded or opal doesn't matter) and 20 liters of drinking water either at Vokes Holl Corner or Emu (Annes Corner would be even better). We asked Ilkurlka Roadhouse as well as Mabel Creek Station to provide such a fuel dump, but unfortunatelly they cannot help us.
Is there anybody, who can help us with that? Of course we know that this will cost a few dollars...
We came all arround the world from Switzerland to do the Anne Beadell as the Gunbarrel and other outback tracks deeply impressed us on our former two travels through Australia. We would be very sorry, if we had to skip the Anne Beadell (And yes: We know, that we are kinda late for such organisations...).
Any help or suggestion is very welcome. Please e-mail to david(at)jenniweb(dot)ch

Thank you and best regards
David

Get one of the group to drive a hired traytop cruiser which would make it much easier to ride unladen bikes as all the gear could be carried on the cruiser.

Hi Peter

Thanks for this advice. We know it's much easier to ride with a supply vehicle, but this is not what we are after.
Nobody around who could pull in from Coober Pedy and drop a few liters of petrol at Emu?

Cheers
David

Just discussed with my fellows: We are willing to pay up to 700 AUD for such a fuel dump.

Hi Everybody

As it was not possible for us to organize a fuel dump, we traveled along Gunbarrel and Gary Highway up to Kunawariji and then proceded to Alice Springs along the Gary Junction Road. Waht a great trip though! The Anne Beadell remains a plan for the future! Many thanks for the answers we got!

Best regards
David
