Go to Members, Members Fileswap, Conversion & Calculation Tools. In that directory is a GPS Coordinate conversion Excel File.

Aussiedingo,

The chances are you can change the Latitude/Longitude display on your GPS device. Have a look under Lat/Long display in the device's configuration menu.

There should be an option to select Degrees; Degree, Minutes; or Degrees, Minutes, Seconds.

Thanks Sand Man, both systems seem to be in use & I have found the min/sec one the most popular on my sites, some show both, which is better, thanks again, aussiedingo

60 minutes in a degree

25.0477º - multiply .0477 by 60 = 2.862 minutes

60 seconds in a minute

25º2.862' - multiply .862 by 60 = 51.72 seconds

25º2'51.72"

to go the other way divide by 60 and 60.

You did ask how to convert. :-)
