G'day
A 1 kva generator is on our wish list so we can stay longer in bush camps without having to go to a powered site to recharge battery
Can anyone who has been to recent caravan or 4x4 and camping shows tell me what prices the 1 kva Yamaha or Honda gererators were selling for please ?
Or if anyone is going to
Sydney show this weekend see what they are going for ?
If prices at shows are generally better than I can get from local dealers then I will buy at
Brisbane show in June
but if prices are similar then I would rather buy local

i have just purchased an "engel" badged gen but with the "honda" engine,i found that this is the quiet'est engine and advertises 16hrs running per 4 lt of fuel, but i have yet to
test that.
i paid $1,400 from BCF, the best i could find on an honda badge'd was $1,700
hope thats some help
ps,im told that you need to make sure that it is a "true" 240v power,as some are not,
check its marked 240v~ & NOT 240v with out the little swiggle thingy

Garry I saw a Honda 2kva generator in
Brisbane for sale under 1500.00 on Wednesday at trackabout campers at Slacks Creek, I already have one so I did not take a lot of notice so I hope my info is correct.
Cheers

garryk -
Sydney show prices - Honda 1 kva $1,299 - 2 kva $1,899. this included a trolley and security cable as
well they were extending the warranty time to 5 years.
Did not see Yamaha there.
www.powerequipmentonline .com.au in Victoria always have good prices for gear - but better can be found if you are prepared to
shop around. A hardware place here have Yamaha generators on special each year for a month and this year they were $1,295 for 1 kva which was reasonable.
