I have to replace the front left hand wheel bearing on the Ford Exploder, its a work / run around vehicle, I understand they have to replace the complete wheel hub assembly, a genuine part costs $1300 does any body know of non genuine bearing / hub suppliers that can supply them cheaper, I understand you can get them from the USA for about $295 plus freight, it's the first major thing that has gone wrong with the truck, it used to be the Cooks shopping trolley, she had it since new, and it had done only 60,000 ks, I bought her the Patrol, and as I mentioned use the Exploder for a spare vehicle, I'm a sucker for punishment lol lol.

Cheers

G'day Daza

Have the same probs with swambos Explorer, we purchased ours new in 1997, only has 90,000 k's, goes ok but broke a door handle and lock, near to $600 plus fitting. full set of hoses and belt close to $420.00, don't break a thermostat housing, close to $800.00.
Visited the explorer website and they use this mob in the states for their parts.
