Hello Ramp,i went two/three years ago as for camping in the caravan park they made you pitch tents in rows with each tent actually touching its neighbour,so we camped along the river only problem there is grass burrs that get into everything, socks, blankets, clothes etc almost impossible to remove, ended up throwing some clothes away.Take large groundsheet. Also can be windy this time o f year.get there early to get good site.

When i was there i didnt see anyone breathalised around the town many were obviously well over the limit police seemed to turn a bilnd eye unless you provoked them.but after the races going home every car was stopped at innaminka and driver breatherlised

Have a great time

trucks i think it is the weekend of 6/9/03

Be prepared to stand in line if camping at the c/van park,, last year a GOOD 2 to 3 hour wait for,, in order,,shower
toilet
urinal
hand basin.
the GENTS has a capacity to handel 4/500 campers maximum, last year tried all times of day and knight to go for a shower and not have to wait for hours,,best time = 3 blo-dy am,, only had 26 people in the line.

Went last year, great time, camped on river LHS over the 1st bridge on the way in. Good spots on the river but get there Wed, I arrived Thurs late aft & most river spots gone. Easy to get to town & the racecourse from there. Don't forget to do Big Red. Caravan park was full & looked bloody crowded. No wind last year but they say be prepared for it. Let me know if you any more info.
