Have been pricing new bf's A/T's 265x70x16's for the prado. Got some fitted up yesterday.WOW how much have they gone up in 2 years ($298 each back then) when I bought my last set. Ended up getting for $330 each, thats coming down from first price quoted of $377 each. Was told in the last 12 months there has been a 22% increase in the price. Been made in USA and the Australian dollar would this explain the increase ??? ..........WHG

That is a bit steep, I think I was quoted about $340 a week or so ago. Did you know in May and June you get a free compressor with BFG's?

I wish. I was Quoted $420.00 EA two weeks ago here in Alice.Got four in
Adelaide Two years ago at$280.00 EA. The price of Rubber must of gone up, Its a pity,I have been running them on several of my 4wds in days gone bye, and found them to be good tyre except in deep sand with to much pressure in them. I leant my lesson.
Regards. Greg.

2 years ago we paid $253.00 a pop for our Mickey Thompson FC 2's, went in a few weeks back to check the price now, and got quoted $330 a piece.

I just ordered Bridgestone 694 LT's in the same size.
Bob Jane (northside
Sydney) was the cheapest for these ($240 each) They quoted BFG's at $320 each at the same time.

Hmm,
Well we had the BF and Coopers over the past ten or so years and always wanted Mickey's but couldn't realy afford them. Bit the bullet in December 08 and bought Mickey's for $326 inc. I checked the dates on them only couple months old. Use to be a huge difference obviously not any more.

Just bought 4 tyres in the last 2 weeks - ouch, 2 for the Rangie, 2 for the Troopy. Bought Cooper ATR's for the Troopy and HT tyres for the Rangie - all around $300 each.
The Troopy had Goodyear Wrangler AT's that were $213 3 years a go, now the same tyre is around $340.
The Coopers were the cheapest of the main stream tyres for both vehicles with the little research that I did.
Strange that the US tyres were the cheapest whith the US dollar so strong compared with the Aussie dollar.

anyone heard of Nexen? A Korean tyre. $175 fitted in Benalla recently for a spare as I'd had a blow out. Regular kind of AT tread. I was quoted close to $400 for BFGs at my local Bob Janes - bugger that.
