If you expect to get reliable TV whilst away from civilisation the best option is Satellite. Complete kits from around $299.00

Depends how important TV is to you. Remember while travelling your sleeping/waking times tend to change, especially if you are
bush camping or moving frequently.
I carried a sat TV set up right around Aussie. It was OK...but we got to the stage where we could hardly be bothered setting it up and using it. We also carried a cheaper $40 aerial which we used in populated areas with a good signal.

How do these work, I get the satellite and the signal issue but is it like pay TV? Do you need a card to get channels?

Matchmaster use to make an antenna call CV13 which was a great travelling antenna, strong and universal.
There currently have a model called DE13 which is a new version of it that I have not seen yet.
Something else to
check out if you haven't already is the bible of tv reception, tv across Australia by ABD. Contact email is abd@bigbond.com

The TV Across Australia info is a little dated. Try
Site Link or
Site Link - The price has doubled since Bob sold it out to Clipsal.

Mark
You should be able to get it at a large number of electrical wholesale outlets, ie
Gordon Mac's, L&H etc. If not ring Matchmater in
Sydney on toll free on 1800 - AERIAL or 02 91536666 and ask for a distributor in your area.
Cheers
