Morning everyone. :)

Just wanted to say 'Thank You' to all those of you who offered such helpful and good advice, tips and hints for my upcoming road trip with my friend Annie in her '97 40th Ann. TD Landcruiser. I have bought both the Camps Australia Wide 5 book and The Outback Way book, to keep us on track and not miss any good points of interest! We will be following (mostly) the route outlined in The Outback Way.

I am flying to Perth this Saturday then on to Paraburdoo on Sunday, to meet up with Annie. We leave on Tuesday 12th May for for the big road trip and our first stop is Hamersley Gorge, then on to Oxer Lookout and the Karijini Eco Retreat (campsite) that night. The next day we visit Circular Pool and walk down to Fern Pool/Fortescue Falls before heading on down to Meekatharra for the night, where we’ll stay at the pub. :)

After that we head on to Laverton to overnight there and catch up with some friends of Annies as well. Then it's onwards and upwards to The Red Centre where we will spend a couple of days each at Uluru and Alice Springs.

I have set up a basic blog site if anyone is interested in following our adventure!!

We have until June 17th to get to the other side - Annie has a Simon & Garfunkel concert to go to in Brissy!

LOL!!! Us? Get into trouble?? NEVER... ;)

The extra time just gives us the space to not stress about getting to the other side in a hurry - we may get there much sooner but at least we can stop for a day or two longer here and there if we wish... and pass straight through other places too!!

Thank you, Bob - I hope you enjoy taking the trip with us via the blog. I hope to be able to update it at least once or twice a week. Will also be keeping a little travel diary... you know the one that you actually use a biro and WRITE in!!! The old fashioned way!! LOL!

That way I can keep track of times, dates and places and then add them to the blog when we have an Internet connection.
