Uppy, have a look at www.redbook.com.au for a guide to trade in values etc. Better to sell it privately though.Bob

i can tell you what sort of rediculous trade those lying, thieving, self centred, cheating, scum will give you............... They offered me $13000 for mine which is in absolute perfect condition....126000kms...........("that attack was not directed at any wholesalers on this site")..................I just sold it for $19000 privately..._____________________________________________

Considering you can get a 98 GU for $20k Id be pulling myself if I got $19k for a GQ.

They are dropping fast in value, Around $15k sounds fair for a 1993 mod with everything.

So what did you expect to get offered??? $19k?

He has to make money too, and its a car yard. As well as put up with any problems it may have that he doesnt knwo about... EG Gearbox blows up tomorrow he has to put in $1000's to get that fixed, etc.

I Think $12-14k is around right price to be offered.

Your loss not his!

Have a look at the prices of similar vehicles in the yards and subtract a margin of $40000 and you will be close. I can tell you, dealers just don't want them anymore and are offering crap prices because of this. The market is flooded with used vehicles, because new veicles are relatively cheap today, so people are moving into new vehicles, dumping the old ones and they have to go somewhere. You only chance of salvage is to sell privately, don't be in a hurry and wait for what you want also privately.
