Gday...
We have just had a Golden Eagle caravan built and provided through Canterbury Caravans in Bayswater - a VERY long winded story to curl your hair which I will save until later. However, we have had the devil's own time trying to have them sort out the single bed mattresses for the van. The ones they provided were too big for the space and are impossible to make up - and even to get out to tuck sheets etc around.
Does anyone know of a reliable, reputable mattress builder who listens and provides good quality single bed mattresses for caravans?

Made to Measure mattresses in Price St Clontarf would be by far the best.

Have several grades from cheap foam to Pillow top innerspring like we have.
Is actually more comfortable than our home mattress.

We took our van down and they measured and made it for us.

Everyone else wanted us to provide measurements at our risk if we were wrong.

Another vote for Made to Measure, we had them make a mattress for our Shippshape rooftop tent.
Excellent service both before and after sale, even made a phone call the day it arrived in Sydney to make sure everything was ok.
We too sleep better on it than the mattress at home which cost three times as much as the one in the Shippshape.

Same here.

They shipped a queen size to Melb for a modest price.

With inner spring they reinforce the sides cos that's where folk will often sit, and they add vents to address condensation. Give 'em a call.

Hi Julie and John. Try www.bedsdirect.com.au they are at Epping. Lovely helpful people and a lot cheaper than any other suppliers we tried. Great service. We bought an Aussie Swag 10mths ago which we are really happy with, but it had a pethetic foam mattress. We struggle to close our camper now, but we have a 140 thich single sided slightly altered queen inner spring mattress that we are very happy with. Why quality expensive campers have foam mattresses is hard to understand. Why they don,t make them to suit a full depth matress is ???? If you went to an expensive quality motel or resort and they gave you a foam mattress to sleep on, would you comlpain??? Caravan or camper, it's a bed on wheels.
Cheers Tony
