Good Afternoon All

Hopefully you are all out enjoying the weekend. Can someone give me a direction on where to go for a reconditioned gearbox.
My nephew has destroyed the gearbox in his 2000 Grand Vitara and getting a replacement is becoming a problem. He is looking for a reconditioned gearbox and the master cylinder is on the driver side. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the vehicle is just sitting and being neglected.
Thanks
Morto

Firstly you need to post up the locality if you want to be directed to someone in your area.

2nd ,tell him to pick up the yellow pages and start getting prices.

If its sitting there getting neglected, its his fault. A Vitara is not exactly a rare beast to get parts for

Hi Ross

Brisbane Sorry. Not doing it for him but his mother who will get the proceeds. They did get one reconditioned box but before it could be delivered from Sydney they dropped of the forklift and stuffed it. And for some reason this thing has to have a special gearbox which they could only find 1 of or get one from Japan for 7 thousand dollars.
I have sent several internet queries to gearbox specialist and await a reply.
Thanks
Robert
