Now that Tobermorey is closed can anyone recommend from experience some camp spots between Boulia and Jervois besides the obvious pull over and pitch a tent.

Cheers

One option not far out of Boulia is Wirrilyerna Station. They have bush camping on the Bourke River. Info available at the Boulia info centre. Do a google and you'll find lots of feedback. They are also a stop over for coaches plying between Alice Springs and Cairns. The bush camp is about 14km from the homestead though.

We have camped at the Georgina River which is about 120k's west of Boulia beside the bridge. Another spot is Arthur Creek which is around 60 K's to the east of Jervois.

Thoroughly recommend both Wirrilyerna Station and Arthur River. The permanent water hole on the river camp site at Wirrilyerna Station is particularly nice, plus has yabbies and fish. You can borrow yabbie pots at the station homestead.
