For the past four years I have gotten off lightly and left with the wallet intact.

However this year this year I was not so lucky from a wallet point of view. Earlier this year I gave my old but very modified Aussie swag camper to my brother......Well kind of gave him the camper and pinched his boat fair swap I thought.

So that brings us to this years show in Brisbane and time to start looking for a new camper. We new what we wanted and comfort and ease of set-up were high on the list (torn between pop top and camper)

We didn't need a hard core offroader as that's what we had the Aussie swag for eg cape york and the likes. Main trips now will be bumpy dirt roads.

After a lot umming and arrring we ended up with the new jayco flamingo st outback (shower and toilet) the other half loves that, having it fitted with simplicity suspension 2000kg axle, hyland coupling, alko drop legs, anderson plug, extra gas fitting for bbq.
I have a spare set of 16" alloy wheels to match the car.

Just have to wait another month and half before we get it.
Have go away for a weekend before St George gathering and teach ourselfs how to set it up so we don't look like we are related to sir kev....LOL

Work has all of a sudden became very boring and repetitive as I wait like a little kid on Xmas eve

Regards Rossco

Ross.

Very similar story hear.
We do not get our new toy until the end of August.
St George may be its first trip.
Work has the same effect on me. I think I must be past my used by date or something.

Regards and see you in St George.

Hi Bruce
It only cost about $1700 extra which I thought was quite reasonable.
Looking forward to see how it tows. It is fitted with 15" rims and tyres and I have a sprare set of navara mags that I will fit after the warranty runs out.
16" is an option they offer but not the tyre size I wish to fit, so I will try them on at home and see how it looks.

Hi Michael

We were lucky as we got in before the start of a run and were one of the first to finalize the sale after the show.

Talking to the poor girl on the dest at brisbane camperland and she was saying they sold about 240 units at the show so someone is going to have a long wait just glad it is not me.

What no push button auto setup? Jeez I thought you would have splurged on this option for sure.

I can't wait to see you set it up for the first time too. LOL!!!! I promise I won't show a soul....oops did I just hint that I intend on capturing the first setup on video?

Cheers buddy and many happy years of "roughing it" in it.

Dam!!!
Regretably wont be there as I am having an operation on my hand for something called Dupuytrens disease and wont be able to drive for a month or so.

Could have had quite a few photos to help pay for the trip. I wonder what a good fee for deletion of said photos could have been?

Like I said before I will be on holidays so it will be leighs job to set it up..TIC.
And if either of you can survive taking a photo of leigh and posting it on here you are braver than me. I gave up taking photos of her after the last bashing I got...Apparently I never do her justice...LOL.

What you need is a round the corner lens and two cards one for Leigh and the other general purpose. That way you take them without Leigh knowing on one card then swop back to the general purpose.

Sneaky hu !!.
Ouch
