While my 1994 rodeo had a decent sump guard my 2002 model TF Rodeo doesnt have one and from what I can tell never had one. So can anyone confirm that the 2002 rodeos never had them fitted and where is it possible to buy a after market guard. My search reveals guards for the RA but nothing appears available for the 2002 TF Rodeo.

I have a 2008 rodeo and was surprised that the engine guard stopped before the sump leaving the sump exposed :-(

I have been looking for some way to add just a little more protection to it.

I don't plan to hit anything but you never know.

www.extremelimitsoffroad.com.au This site has sump protection for RA Rodeos but not cheap and nothing to suit the 2002 TF Rodeo. The fact that the sump is left exposed and has not been guarded by the manufacture is dissappointing

Hi Dug- it is obviously a known problem because Holden would not release any of the Colorados to their new owners until sump guards were fitted. Problem was there was a delay in the guards arriving in Aus. Friends of mine had paid up in full for their car, only to have to wait for over 2 months to take possession of it due to this problem.doc.

Ours was a demo rodeo and we got such a great price I am not complaining !

There was a winch bull bar with sump guard but at an insane price and no warrantee on the airbags if a winch was used so I decided to get a steel bull bar and some dif locks rather than a winch.

I do not want to do any real hard 4WD work, I just don't want to get stuck somewhere stupid :-)

I'm sure my '01 model had a bash plate over the sump. It was a v6 petrol.
