Hi there, we are heading off for 3 weeks in October to
Adelaide & then along Great Ocean Rd and back up coast, will be staying 5 nights in
Adelaide,2 x Mt Gambier, 2 x Warnambool, 2 x
Apollo Bay, 2 x
Lakes Entrance
Just wondering any recommended caravan parks at these
places (esp Mt Gambier) and also for the 2 night accommodations, any better
places to stay than those listed?
Cheers and thanks for the help w@w

Check out reports by other caravanners on:

We chose bush and free camps through this area.

Agreed.
There are some magic sites on the
Glenelg River near
Nelson.
A couple are accessed from a track just on the SA side of the border, then there are some further north on the road north ( on the east side fo the river). They are in a Nat'l Park so fees may apply.

In
Adelaide, probably the best park is the
West Beach caravan park. On
the beach, good facilities, close to the airport, city, shops, restaurants at
Glenelg, and IKEA!!!
In Mt Gambier we've always stayed at the one just near the
Blue Lake, Queen Liz caravan park I think it is.
