Hello everybody -
Until recently I had a 1993 Maverick diesel and simply connected to the terminals when I wanted to boost the battery.
I now have modern Prado V6 petrol which does not get a lot of use - can anyone tell me if it is really necessary to go to the trouble of disconnecting the negative lead before giving the battery a boost or even a trickle charge. Thank you. Ian

Hi Ian,
No mate, not necessary. Just connect the charger to the terminals as you did for the Maverick.
Bill.
