Simpson Desert trip - July 10 - 26 - anyone going at this time?

Ill be at Dalhousie on the 8th July but me and my friend are heading to the Rock and surounds ive been across the Simpson 3 times so not this trip but if you see me i would be happy to have a chat and maybe share some info about doing the crossing ill be in a Troopy with a Patrol and Hilux in tow we will be camping at Dalhousie on Wed night the 8th might see you there

just saw your post here - unfortunately lostbird willl not be able to join us on the trip. We are leaving from Petersham either FR eve or SAT morning.

We are going from 10.-26.07.09 (details below), driving in a Toyota Landcruiser 80 series with currently 3 ppl.
Maybe we could meet up somewhere? Shoot me a PM for phone number etc if it matches your plans.

For everybody else: Due to one friend dropping out unexpectedly, we have 1-2 spots left in our 4WD for you to come along!
You can trust on the offroad experience of James and his great truck, and we are getting all the gear like extra spare tyres, satellite emergency phone, etc. If you have camping equipment - great! Otherwise we can probably organize tent and sleeping bag etc for you.
The cost estimate is currently about 700-800 AUD based on 4 people in the car. Contact me ASAP!
