Hi all,

I have a customer who purchased a simple steer and follow GPS system a few years ago, from somewhere in Sydney, it's a large 7" screen unit using Route 66.

Problem I have is he has lost the link cord to his PC from the unit, the plug on the unit is like nothing I have seen before, and I cant replace it for him. The unit runs Route 66 and to do the update to ver 8 needs the system connected to the PC.
I actually found a copy of the map last week online in a board site but was busy so didn't download it at the time and can't find it again. LOL No comments about old-timers LOL

Is there any way of getting the file again easily, its only a small file that I believe can be put in place of ver 7 on his SD card.

Cheers

Maybe try to email this place www.computercables .com.au with a picture of the connection needed. They may have something.

No affiliation...just my friend Mr. Google.

Hi Mr Blaze
Surely you must have some good computer technicians up there in Berri. LOL

Don't think that you are getting out of it next year, so start practising with Mr Dasher now.

Take Care

There are paddle boats available for hire in Berri that would suit him. The only way that he could fit into a Kayak is to tie them together to make a Catamaran out of them and it would still probably sink. LOL He might have a few difficulties getting under that low bridge ooops come to think of it any bridge around here

Hi John
I hope that you had a good trip back home. Did you get up to Lindsay Island?

Take care. We should be over you way in October all things being equal. If we are, we will catch up again.

Best Regards

Stephen

Stephen, it was Michael and Debra that went to Lindsay Island, we went to call to Adelaide and catch up with friends there including the 'Phil Gs' which was great, then home via Greenways for other friends. Been busy ever since it seems. How did I get away?

Please keep in touch about October and factor in a call. It was nice to meet you and Fiona.

Look in your history The URL should be there and just click on it and then on the page you were on and all will be revealed

Thanks Graham,

I own a PC shop and am a surposed IT techi and that was first place I looked, my problem is it was on my work PC and I visit a minimum of about 40 sites a day and this was over a week ago so history is well gone. Also it was linked off about 3 other pages before I found it.

That was what the wise crack from Stephen L was all about LOL

Thanks though for taking the time.

Cheers

The truth of the matter is that Blaze isn't tech saavy enough and he has to employ people who like John R are Ipod friendly and can work out these things. My stir over and I'm ducking for cover and burying myself in work.

I seem to recall that you have more time to spend here drinking coffee than I do at your work abode.
As for fixing computer problems, when have you ever knocked back any of my hard earned cash. Probably just as well you have a short term memory loss problem LOLOLOL
Just looked at your sign off, I think the adventure is over as the dementia has set in.

LMAO "when have you ever knocked back any of my hard earned cash"

Firstly none is hard earned, secondly the reason I havent refused any cash is it doesn't get offered, maybe you have been waiting for an account. I will get SWMBO to sort one out for you. LOL

Well I would be in trouble if my history was gone in a week I keep it for 6 months at least. However you may visit too many sites for that.
