Rudall River and Gary Juction track

Has anyone completed either of the above regions very recently.
Just need a rough idea of track conditions. We leave to do it in 2.5 weeks.
Cheers

The Gary Junction Road is a ROAD, not a "track".
We have driven it a couple of times (last year towing a boat). It is a 2WD road, typically better than the Great Central or Tanami roads.
'Motherhen' came across towing a 5th wheeler a week ago.
The link below has pics for 2005 and 2008.

The Rudall River area is a little tougher, but our experience is a few years old now (2005).

Cheers,
Peter

Hi WHB

We have just arrived in Alice coming through the GJR, but did not go to Rudall River (the route skirts the very top end of the huge park). Conditions were like any other inland road, some good sections, some corrugated and some wash. It rained while we were camped at Carawine Gorge (the track in was closed after we got out), but although the rain had stopped, the road from there and past Telfer was slosh, and we got covered in mud. Rain went right through to the border but the last half of the road was dry. As always, the road is mostly better on the NT side.

Thank you Mother Hen, we will be in Rudall River NP for 5 days before heading to Alice. One reply said he towed his boat across GJR and his father in law towed a fifth wheeler across from Alice.
It appears from replies that Rudall is slow going which is what we expected.
We leave 14 days.
Cheers
Billy
