Wide Bay Burnett 4X4 Club Inc.
Hi all,
We are headin up to
Emerald in Sept/October and would love to know if there is any tracks up there. Obviously fossiking will be on the agenda along with other activities, but we want to do some off roading also. most of us going are into a little more of the exciting stuff compared to the black stuff. If you can help in way of plots, tracks, ect would be appreciated or just some good old fashion advice. Thanks in advance.

Mate she is reasonably flat around there except for the
gemfields themselves.
There can be washouts and some rough parts to tracks but nothing around there that I've seen requiring you to be locked. None of the Western
Carnarvon Gorge Parks (Salvator, Ka Ka Mundi, Goodliffe) need 4wd unless it has been raining then you are screwed with or without lockers.
Best bet check locally at the nearest pub or just ask around.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, i moved to Bundy 10 mths ago.
