That Troopy Bloke (SA)
I've often run biodiesel in my troopy, purchased from SAFF in Pooraka.
The last couple of times I've called in there, they have had signs up stating that biodiesel was not available. I swung by there today, and it seems the place has been shut down....pumps removed and windows barred up.
Does anybody know what is happening with SAFF?
Have they gone belly up, or just closed down an outlet?.
A google search didn't bring up any answers.
Anybody know any other biodiesel outlets in
Adelaide?
Cheers
Glenn

There is a servo on Salisbury Highway in Mawson Lakes, I know that has bio something - could be petrol, but will be going past on my way to the drive-ins tonight so will have a look.

I was only thinking the same thing last night Glenn....
I've previously bought bio diesel at the servo in
Port Wakefield. A week or so ago as I drove past, I noticed there was a crane in the forecourt (lifting something up, presumably....hahahaha), but didn't think much of it.
Last night I noticed the diesel bowsers had gone but I didn't take much notice whether the petrol bowsers had also gone....it was late at night and I was doing my
Post Office run to/from
Adelaide.
So, maybe you're right, SAFF might have gone tits-up...???

Glenn, this might shed some light on it. It's from 27th March this year.
SAFF under administration
Roachie, you can't say tits on here, can you?

No, I guess not Louie....heheheehe....I didn't think I'd get away with it actually.....
I was gunna say something else starting with "C" and ending in "T" with an "N" and a "U" in between (but not necessarily in that order)..... but thought better of it.

In addition to what Louis posted, I later saw a media notice that the Parnell Mogas group had bought SAFF. I can't find further details on the net now, but wonder if they intend to drop BioD??

Just found this at this
link
"Recently in the news you may have read about SAFF going into administration. The offical advice from the State Government is that there is a possible merger/take over of SAFF by Mogas. They recently asked Mogas a question re the supply of E10 and ethanol based products. Please see the answer below. Plus it is their understanding that Mogas is still honouring and supplying product to SAFF customers.
The response from Mogas: "We will continue supplying E10 as per before. We will stop supplying E85 unless there is a specific requirement from you for this product to continue. We will stop supplying Bio Diesel for the interim as we have concerns with the quality of Bio Diesel at the moment. We won't be supplying Bio Diesel until the product quality issues have been completely resolved and they meet our standards. We can discuss your requirements for Bio Diesel in detail and if necessary can speed things up if you need it re-introduced".
