Quote ;
As the Dog and the Lemon author Clive Mathew-
Wilson puts it, " Our only objections (to the defender), apart from the unreliability, terrific fuel consumption, price and lack of safety features, are ergonomic ones."
.......................................................................................................
These of course are his personal opinions and are not necessarily those held by myself - totally .
This quote is posted as a matter of general interest and should not be seen as an attack on Defender owners, nor as an attempt to poke fun at people less fortunate than ourselves.

Sydney town? Must have time on your hands mate... as you can afford to read the weekend Australian.... lol...! Us poor cousins in the NT only have the NT News (Not The News), a "wonderful"(NOT) Murrdoch publication".... !

Could be worse - in WA, we get The West Australian newspaper. It's improved slightly since Kerry Stokes bought it, but not so much that I'd start buying it again!

Hi Joc,
In
Laverton a couple of months ago, I bought the only paper on offer- a Sunday special. I have never see a worse rag. Full of sensationalist junk, pictures of cute girls and rubbish human interest stories.
It made me realize how
well off I was at home, with the SMH and the Australian.
Cheers,
Willie.

G'day Fred,
It's a beautiful sunny winter's day here in
Sydney Town - but I would much rather be up there with you.
I am flat out mate ! I just collected the dog poo from the back yard and I am about to go and play in the mixed doubles comp with the boss.
Pressure is hell.
Willie.

Hi Willie,
Ah yes, I'd forgotten the good ole (Murdoch) Sunday Slimes. Stopped buying that about 30 years ago when I got rid of my solid-fuel hotwater system. One Sunday Slimes used to give me 40 gallons of hot
water, but when I changed to gas, I had no further use for that paper!
