Hello All,
I'm looking at traveling from
Steep Point down along the Zytdorp Clifs to the
Murchison River, does anyone know of the type of tracks or roads along that stretch of coastline?
Anyone been there lately?
Thanks and all the best.
John

We have been to the Zypdorp cliffs on 4 wheelers and going north from the first Ab divers
camp ran in to a lot of
sand dunes that I dont think you would get past then further inland turns to bush havent seen a track going north (maybe one there)
but there is one going south to the Murch but you need permission to get on the Murch Station and you are not meant to travel along the
rabbit proof fence.

We went in along the fence past the 100 mile tanks.Hard to say how far north we went it wasnt far,
close to the coast it has realy steep
sand dunes would not even ride the 4 wheelers far along there very far (at a guess about 2 kms then if we went down the dune we would not have been able to get back up way to steep)
then inland the bush is real thick (they took a d9 in the first time though to the coast) but there maybe a track even further inland.

HI John, Found this on this site under road conditions
Steep Point to
Kalbarri
A committee is currently assessing the viability of establishing a public track from
Kalbarri along the coast up to
Steep Point. Currently, you must contact the station owners at
Tamala Station (Ph: 08 9948 3994) to request access.
Ciao,
Wayne
