toffy

Not much info to go on ....

I suppose you are talking about a ZD30 4 cylinder diesel. If so, I would get an "in chassis engine rebuild kit" from engine australia and fix the problem. That is the "least hassle" option.

Otherwise you could go on Marks 4WD website and have a look at his conversion kits or, depending where you live, Brunswick Diesel in WA and another place near Kin Kin in QLD can fit a 6.5 litre Chev diesel for around $23,000.

Toffy....... a bit more info would be a good idea.......

What is the story with the rig? If it's a 3 litre that has blown up (which would be quite unusual as these are a very reliable motor.... hahahahaha), then a 6.5 Chev is one option. It's not really a hassle, because all the adaptors are readily available and it's just about a bolt-up option. BUT: if by "hassle" you mean $$$ then the Chev isn't gunna suit you as it will set you back $20K +. At least you won't have to change gearbox , transfer box or diffs.
